[Closed] PUSH'ed RP23 - performance issues

[#2736400]

Its feeling really sluggish and rebound is not that responsive. It has new air seals but has not been serviced for a while. The LBS suggested that some performance issues can be caused by having the Fox PUSH'ed and should consider getting the internals re-set to OEM by Fox.

Anyone had similar issues and any recommended remedies?

I'm not in UK (live in Australia), so TF Tuned etc are not an easy option for sending shock for diagnostics and repair

Was the shock PUSH'd for that specific frame, and to your requirements?

The whole point of PUSH is to optimise the performance of a given shock for a given frame/rider/application. Fox factory settings are an 'average' and are obviously going to be better than the settings of a PUSH shock set up for an entirely different use; but your LBS is off the mark, I think.

What set-up have you done? Is the air pressure correct for your sag? Has the shock always been in that frame? Could you contact PUSH in the US?

As above is it set for the frame?
When was it last serviced if 12 months plus, maybe cavitated. (nitrogen in oil)
How have you set it up have a look at the setup guide, http://locotuning.co.uk/tech-info.html

PUSH'ed by TF Tuned a few years ago. The frame is a nicolai helius cc. I must check the settings that came back from TF but from memory the air pressure they recommended was insanely high.....

If it hasn't been serviced since it was done by TF, it will probably need a Full service.

TF Tuned says they won't service and send back to non eu countries (Austrlia). They used to.
Loco - do you deal with servicing of Push'ed shocks from overseas?
