[#2614603]

It's been 3 weeks since i returned my ksi post for repair (after speaking to them and thats what they advised) and i've heard nothing at all, i've called numerous times but no answer and message box full, also no reply to several emails to pure racing, superstar or tibolts.

I heard the chap is in taiwan but has the whole operation shut down?

I know the company has mixed reviews(up until now my purchases from ss have been fine)but this level of non existent customer service is unbelievable.

I had some Earl Grey scones last summer. Astonishingly good, as it happens.

Cream on first, then jam, obviously.

I heard the chap is in taiwan

I had to check the urban dictionary to make sure I wasn't missing a euphemism.

'Being in Taiwan' has a certain ring to it.

Hi there, I have forwarded your email to the workshop staff who will be able to answer your question or get back to you. I'm sorry to say that they are a little short staff at the moment due to most of the staff being out of the office on business for the next two weeks, they will be back on the 29th and should get to you email by the end of that week, we thank you for your patience and we will get back to you as fast as we can.

They may still be getting back into things?

ha ha , i'm having a blue riband, the wife must be on a nostalgia trip.

anyway it can't be just one guy, they must be still processing orders through the site?

the thing is, if when i phoned he'd said send it in but there will be a delay for 3 weeks as i'm off to taiwan etc then fine but not to say anything or even put a message on answerphone or website?

Can you explain how that works, for the hard of thinking?
I have terrible images of a spoon being involved!?

One has a spoon for the cream, with which it is deposited on a recently cleft scone.
One then has a separate spoon for the jam (Preferably one of those nice ones with a hook). Jam is then loosely dropped on to the cream.

Of course, normally one would have one's gentleman's gentleman do this for one, but he's been rather absent of late. Something about popping up to Fortnum's, I gather.

wwaswas, no, it's just that after recent events he's had to join a queue to stock up on the Little Scarlet. Worse than that, they're out of Patum Pep as well! Shocking. Might have to send him over to that nice big corner shop over the other side of the Wellington Arch.

scaredypants, are you from Cornwall?

Surely everyone knows that cream on first is the only accepted method unless you're married to your sister! Clotted cream, obviously.

There is also a 'Dave Whitehouse' working for SSC, he answered a query I had a while back. FWIW never had a problem with their stuff*. Bit like that crazy Edinburgh bearing nutter - not to good at PR but apparently a decent enough bloke when dealing with him.

* until my pads suddenly fail the next time I am out ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had a 'item dispatched' from them about 2 hours back.... for a warranty return item they have had since last Monday!

No idea what they have done - just got to wait for Mr Postie!

Good luck!

Not true this, I think... I've had sales related emails ignored at the same time as having warranty work done quickly. I think they're just generally crap at communication- never answer the phone either.

Just had a reponse from Neil

Hello it is with the distributors who have sent out a load today. They have been in Taiwan with KS for tech training and the international bike show for 2 weeks last week so there is a small delay.

A 'small delay' ha and an apology wouldn't have gone a miss!

Eh? I think he maintains Superstar and Pure Racing are seperate companies, but even if they are they share the same postal address so I fail to see how he can talk about sending something from one to another! ๐Ÿ™„

That's my understanding too, they said they'd need to return my post to the distributors which I think means they put on a different hat... Got there in the end though and very pleased with it now so I think that's the main thing but it wasn't the best.
