Evenin' All!

I'm looking for a slightly upmarket pub for saturday lunch. Girlfriend's parents meet my Dad. A bit overdue, first time in 3 1/2 years!

Looking for somewhere friendly, informal, not too s****y, not too cheap. Somewhere with character and good food, but otherwise with as little opportunity to highlight differences in values as possible! Not expecting them not to get along, but I want to play it safe. Decent mains between £10 and £16.50, say.

They're near Tewkesbury, he's near Corsham/Chippenham, so somewhere equidistantish would be ace, hence the suggestions. We'll be driving too, so edge of town better than town centre, unless there's a sure-fire carpark.

Thanks, wish us luck!
