XT 12sp SGS rear mech for £38. Delivery was 8 quid but even still I keep re looking at the spec to see which of the shimano abbreviations I’m misreading at that price! https://amzn.to/3X8GyV2

Shimano BH90 olives. £0.30 each. (Barbs can be reused if cut out carefully)

https://www.wiggle.com/p/shimano-bh90-olive-insert

Mine turned up today, barbs/inserts included. I'd have bought a few more if I'd known! The sram 12 speed chain connecter dooberries are the real deal too, in proper aftermarket packaging.

Gutted I missed the X01 chains for 36 sterlings, they'd sold out by the time I went back to order them.

Chainring from Works ordered, it's a shame they don't do none angle headsets. Thanks for the PSA. That GT gravel bike looks great - (un)fortunately they don't deliver outside the uk.

Show as £15 delivery for me, yet still £38 for the mech. Odd

Amazing!

Blimey, the first of the running jackets has arrived, the one that was £100. It’s my first ever running specific jacket, but v surprised how flimsy is. I think I’d have been sending it back had it been £25, unless it is some super duper technical fabric.

I got the same one in medium, I found the fit good, the sleeves are a good length and not too flappy and the packed size is nice and dinky which was what I primarily wanted.
But yeah if I'd paid £20 let alone the supposed £100 list price I'd have been returning it. Interestingly it seems like it lacks features features that many runners would typically look for like hem grippers and draw strings, thumb loops, etc...

I've Not tried it in anger yet, I'll be interested to see just how effective the DWR coating actually is in a damp day...

I've just received one of the £150>£10 waterproof jackets, thanks for the PSA. Looks pretty good, I'm yet to test its water resistance. Wasn't sure if "medium" in runner terms would be too small for regular folk but the fit is rather good. It packs down really well, a very good just-in-case jacket.

+1

Looks like it might be too big, but fits really well.

Yes it's very flimsy, but that might be good for running. Will test in the next couple of days.

Also got one of the £5 LS running tops, nice mango colour. That's thin too, but fits great.

The DHB jacket is pretty decent hot running bring lightweight, vents under arms, so far waterproof. Don't know how good long term, but as a lightweight waterproof it's decent.  Don't want a heavy jacket at all whilst running.

Yeah I went for a late drizzley stroll in it yesterday.
For a tenner it's a good purchase, the perforated pits are a simple solution.

If I could have pretty much the same thing, but with a slightly longer back and a zipped rear pocket, delete the hood but keep a high-ish collar with the same drawstrings to seal up the neck a bit that would be good. I found the hood actually works OK, and can sort of act like a snood/buff would when zipped up to my chin, the hood bunches at the back to provide some neck coverage which could work well on the bike.
I'd maybe pay ~£25 for a sort of 'Wishlist' ultralight cycling Pack-a-mac like that perhaps. But anyone who dropped £100+ on a DHB running jacket must be insane.

@cookaa not sure I would pay anywhere near the list price for it.

For what I paid I thinks it's decent, hopefully lasts ok.

I got one of these jackets a couple of weeks back. https://amzn.to/41praq8 First use over the weekend and again this morning and it already seems like it is an excellent purchase for £50 (down from £135.)

Just above freezing temperatures in the sun on the moors 3 hr MTB ride on Saturday. Just a base layer under it and it was a little too warm at points, if anything. Otherwise just very comfortable. Pissing it down with rain this morning on the commute into work. Only 15 minutes ride, but DWR coped excellently. Totally dry underneath and warm when I arrived at work. Again just a base layer under.

Size up. I am usually an L (sometimes even an M depending on pie consumption/cut) but definitely an XL in this

If the variable pricing on Amazon doesn't work for you, all sizes and both colours are £77.50 on the Altura site.

Well I was gonna get the Prime Orro 700c alloy gravel wheels off CRC today, but they've whacked the price up £100 now.

But I see the 650b version is £130, which might suit some of you...
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/prime-orra-650b-alloy-gravel-wheelset

Think you can use EXTRA10 as well.

I ordered a 40mm Ragley Stubbing stem for £5, been interested to try an extra 5mm stem on my trail bike.

I hope the blue matches my other blue bits though.

Thanks @charlie.farley was quite gutted I missed that first time around. Several ordered for Xmas presents. Both my lads need new waterproofs...I always end up having to carry them on walks (even though they are late teens and really should carry their stuff themselves!) so those lightweight ones are spot on.

Also have the windproofs for same price https://www.wiggle.com/p/dhb-aeron-flt-windproof-jacket

Note that's the men's link. Women's also available for wind and waterproof for same price by the look of it.

8120 is 55 chainline so won't be ideal on a lot of boost bikes. Great price otherwise

Is it possible to not use the single 2.5mm BB spacer to compensate? (probably not)

That windproof running jacket is a stupid price

think I’ve just solved two problems:

1) wife’s Christmas present, she runs (and I can tell her it’s £150)
2) how to round up my basket of bargains to get free postage.

You'd have to use it, but no reason it can't go on the non drive side, if 52.5 works and everything clears OK

Just as long as there isn't a PSA thread on wivesrunningtrackworld or whatever it is

Haha, I've been subtly enquiring whether my GF needs any fitness clobber but it seems not 🙁

Just did debut run in the windproof jacket. Pretty good, even though I was wearing my thinnest baselayer and it was freezing out.

Makes a good combo with the £10 running trews.

Thx. Sounds like a plan. 0.5mm off I can live with. In fact I read somewhere it was actually a better chainline than 52 for Boost.

Boo! £2 Maxxis order has been cancelled.

It's going to have to be full priced Klunker coaster brake skids again.

It will depend. I tried 55 chainline on one of my boost bikes but it was obviously not the ideal for that bike. Hopefully you can make them work ok for your setup.
