Why not? Do you cycle in the dark?
Is it becuase the pockets are too prominent for narrow forest single track and might catch on some brambles?

Bought a pair last week for the commute. They're very thin and not exactly my style, but on the other hand I'm not fussed what I look like cycling to work and my bike kit wash cycle is now one pair of shorts longer. Worth a tenner, but not much more.

I'm not massively fussed what they look like as long as they work..

I bought as pair of those shorts - I like them although if you want more subdued then go for the ones rocketdog linked to; they are pretty much the same shorts in a different colour:-

Even the most hardened fashionista/style snob HAS to admit that the Halfords shorts are a pretty similar colour scheme and design to other fancy brand shorts. I've seen Fox shorts fairly close to that and I guarantee putting a Fox logo on would mean they'd be selling for (quality/durability issues aside) £80-90

Why do halfords insist on listing all their sizes differently? It really, really annoys me.
