However the site shows it as all delivered, and webchat an phone is useless. So im about £110 down...ffs.

I've had CRC send out more than one package for an order at the same time and its been delivered on different days with no problems. Sometimes a few days apart.

I wouldn't panic just yet.

My brakes just arrived, nice to see the finned pads and choice of IS or post front adaptor.

Mine have just arrived with our trusty Hermes driver. As usual he was wearing shorts, in the middle of Wales, in the middle of winter. Weird 🙂

Mine arrived, with finned pads, and lots of mount adaptors for large discs. Great package.

Just picked mine up from the Collect Plus drop off point. It sees that getting things sent there means almost certain next day delivery!

The brakes look spot-on. Just waiting for the new frame to arrive to fit them to.

I got:

One connected up and pre-bleed brake with metal finned pads

And

One unconnected with non finned resin pads

Both in retail boxes but no adaptors?

Not bothered. Still a good deal.

Mine have arrived (thanks op), feel lovely. Is there any difference in the zee levers of will my existing m8000 levers be the same?

Delivered this morning (Sunday!) and have come with fork and post/IS adapters, finned pads and a packet of u clips - presumably they were an OEM build kit.

Top PSA OP - many thanks.

In my experience the older style lever on these Zees is better than the m8000 design as it doesn't suffer from the variable travel issue.

Running mine across two bikes, both Zee front, existing XT rear. One bike with XT levers, the other Zee. One setup and tested around Cwmcarn. All good - very pleased 😀

I have a f+r set of these with Hermes so assuming they reach me, what exactly should i be expecting?

I see mention of unconnected hoses and random pads/adapters, so what is fair to expect?

Unfortunately my experience tells me the old levers were just as bad

Mine have arrived just as described. Levers will need swapping over.

Haribos were an added bonus

Result.

Finned pads in both, 4 x mounts, plenty of cable clips.

Hose shorten, swap to levers, bleed, then will be interesting to see how well they work when paired with 203mm rotors...

Was it Tangfastics or just the plain rubbery ones?

Just the plain rubbery ones. But they always taste nicer when you don't have to buy them.

Haha, true.

I usually give them to the kids, but would keep Tangfastics for myself.

Arrived here as well. Finned pads, both bled and ready to roll, although they'll obviously want swapping.

Anyone know the part numbers for the correct olive and barbs to shorten the hoses?

Are the plastic retainer things for the mounting screws important? I'm missing one.

If you're Shimano then yes, they're critical.

I suspect everyone else bins them. 🙂 Do a M check occasionally to check your brakes are not falling off and you'll be fine!.

Mine are here, no haribo and 2x 203mm is to pm adaptors. Finned pads though 🙂

Can I just remove the banjo bolt on the M8000 caliper and use the one that came with the zee, then I'd be using use the existing hoses that came with the M8000? I know I could cut the zee hoses but I don't have any olives, barbs or yellow clamp.

thanks

@jsync you can get olives & bards from Amazon:

BH90 Olives & Barbs

You don't need the yellow block - just make sure you don't crush the hose when you hold it with something.

I didn't - from the looks of them, the banjo is wider on the Zee's. I kept the Zee hoses on the Zee calipers and the XT hoses on the XT calipers - just swapped the levers around.

@tracey (as you seem proficient in these things) or anyone else who knows, in a L-R hose swap do i do it at the lever end and hold it up to avoid leakage? For my 2008 wolf ridge by the way, a bike you are partly responsible for!

OK, I'll do this then. Cheers.

What we do, others may do different, is fit the levers where they should be for a UK bike, still with the hoses and calipers attached. That way they are steady and not flopping all over. Then swap the hoses across for the front brake and then the rear, if you are careful you wont need to bleed them yet. Route the hoses and fit the calipers so that everything is working and the calipers are set up correct. If the hoses need shortening then that's what I would then do as I know what to cut off.

If the rear is internal routed then a bleed is going to be needed. I find it easier to shorten hoses once the levers and calipers are in place.

Hope it makes sense

You can run XT and XTR levers and hoses with the Zee or Saint calipers by swapping the banjo bolts over, we have on two of the bikes to save rerouting the internal rear, the XT ones are different in length to the Zees as they come out of a different part of the caliper. Not noticed any difference in performance and the XT levers have the reach adjust that the Zees don't
