Showing as £225 for me, so even better, and that's before BC discount too

That's a very good price, both of my bikes have an XT drivetrain and it's proving to be a very good choice.

Picked this up a couple of weeks back - 170 crank, 30t and i-spec. Just over £200 with BC discount.
Couldn't justify the extra cash for the eagle.

highly tempted with this but will it be night and day from my reliable 10s 42 sunrace setup?

I didn't find 11sp XT night-and-day better than 10sp XT with an expander ring, if that helps.

Marginal gains, as they say.

Bought this in the sale to replace my aging 2x9 and can't say I'm blown away by it.

Feel of the shifter isn't nearly as nice as the SLX one it's replacing - very heavy and clicky, and Shimano's solution of dishing the big sprocket over the spokes leads to terrible chainline. The chain runs very noisily in the lowest gears - I'm already experimenting with spacing the chainring inwards.

I have SRAM 1x11 on my CX bike which works much more nicely.

I currently have the 11-42t 10sp sunrace with the SLX stuff on my Mega - really pleased with it.

The 11sp XT is to upgrade this - current setup moving to my new HT - wondering now if I should just stick with the 10sp SLX.
