After reading the Ticks in Leigh Woods thread i should warn folk riding on Hackhurst Downs area i attracted a passenger which attached itself to a Love Handle - significant as i was wearing running tights to avoid being stung by the nettles which have shot up recently... I specify Hackhurst Downs as that was the only area i recall riding through dense foliage. Hope this is of use. 😐

They are all over Pitch and Holmbury too this year. The dog and I had a few each last Sunday.

If there are deer, cattle or sheep then there will probably be ticks. Evil devils.

I picked up 4 on Tuesday riding at Greenham Common, managed to spot them whilst they climbed up my legs and flicked the things off...
