Not bought any so no idea what the quality is like but they should turn up within a week.
Any idea if the 18650 batteries need to be protected ones for this?
Think there was some info on the other thread saying that the box now has a protection circuit in it, but its not necessarily ideal for charging and that you should still use a normal charger?
That's the same box that Fasttech have sent me with the XT40 light that I bought from them.
There is a sticker on the base of the box that gives the current/voltage figures for under and over charge protection. You can read those fugures from the picture of the box on the DX site, so Yes, the box contains a protection circuit. You don't NEED to put protected cells in it.
I'm charging my cells (efest 3100 imr) in the box with a cheapo 1amp charger but I'm aware this may not be the "best" way to go about it.
I'd be vary wary of plugging an expensive phone into that...
Does it matter if the batteries are button top or not to be used in these boxes?
