Some folk might recall I did a multi-day MTB trip through the Scottish Highlands last year, taking in the usually flooded old road across Loch Loyne. This is just a heads-up to say that the loch (reservoir actually) should now be at, or around, its lowest level for the year, although I'm afraid I don't know if it'll be quite as low as last year.
Some foties from last years trip...

It's threads like this that make a DH leaning trail-centre lovr like me want to go into the wilds. Cheers Druidh! Some stunning images there mate.
Bump for the day shift
cool pictures
Given the amount of rain over the last few days I doubt the loch will be low anymore! ๐
They have to drain the loch every autumn so that it can act as a reservoir over the winter months, so it may be that the recent rainfall has simply been allowed to escape without hindrance.
Aaaah. Interesting.
