[#4992650]

Found these shorts (that Bikeradar seem to love) insanely cheap in some garish shades, I got a pair in purple for £18 delivered, ordered Thurs evening, turned up today, don't see how they're worth £110 but really nice shorts (colour notwithstanding, they also have turquoise);

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mens-Scott-Mind-Loose-Fit-Cycling-Shorts-221578-2988-Dark-Violet-/181101871083?pt=UK_Cycling_Clothing&var=&hash=item2a2a833feb

Then found them on their website in a more subdued grey, with CODE10 you get an extra 10% off, I ordered a pair for a mate as well so came in at under £36. They also have them on the website in a particularly minging yellow/gold for £15

I'm a 36" and the large is bang on. If you're a grown man with a waist less than 34" then may I cordially suggest you stop fannying about and get some more beer down your neck.

The liner material is pretty thin and also short on the legs (comfy though), you'd need to be extremely comfortable with your sexuality to wear it by itself!

Anyone else find that Scott clothing comes up small?

I'm normally medium, but had to size up on shorts, gloves and jackets.

I also bought this softshell and reckon it's a bargain, good fit for casual and snowboarding as well. It's Gore material too.

My shorts turned up today. I am a 36 waist with chunky quads, and they fit nicely. You may be right about the liner - my wife wouldn't let me out of the house! The liner comes in a very handy little bag, which has just become my "pedal sack" for use in bike bags/boxes.

Hmmm would it look a bit much to get the turquoise with the matching top?

I would normally go for the purple but my 5:10s and bag are purple so I can't see that looking good.

I'm too tight to buy the black.

I got a pair of these in blue when visiting start up in newcastle at christmas (also got a Scott Goretex Active Shell jacket for £49!) - the liners are white lyrca and very very thin, I use them on the turbo but even concealed from the public eye they make me feel like a pervert.

Got mine today - tried the outer short which I rather like in Turquoise. Not tried the liner yet - might have to try them in private when no-ones in from the sound of things.

I was looking at those too, my gloves have holes in them and I haven't found a suitable replacement.

I have those gloves in black. The D30 inserts work really well. They size up quite snug, and feel to small on first fit, but articulate really well, so are actually fine.

Dantsw13 - I'm the same waist/quads as you. what size did you go for? Large or XL?

I went for the L, they didn't have XL when I ordered. I'd say L are snug at the waist even with the zips set loose but roomy around the bum/legs. XL would probably have been ok at the waist on max tightness.

If you are 36+ go for the XL. 36- go L. Both will be baggy on the thighs.

I'm about a 36 so went for the XL. Scott actually say on their site that 36 is an XL, most companies tend to have 36 as a L.

Here you go.

http://startcycles.co.uk/scott-2012-superstitious-d3o-longfinger-cycling-gloves-222018-3008.html

When I see people on the trail wearing these gloves and shorts I shall know how much of a cheapskate they are and refer them to this thread.

I shall point and laugh as I ride alongside then Mossy.

On the glove sizing.. I normally take a Large in Fox/Specialized/Sombrio. The Large in Scott is closer to a medium IMO.

Very nice quality glove with the D30 as previously mentioned.

ae212- would you say the jacket is really a medium?

If you're referring to this jacket

http://startcycles.co.uk/scott-2012-windstopper-mind-tech-cycling-jacket-221580-0077.html

The large they list in stock is definitely more like a medium. I returned a medium as it was too tight!

There's also one in black on eBay for a bit more $$$ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scott-Mind-Tech-Hoody-black-Hoody-Windstopper-Large-/160991466259
