Riese & Müller have a problem with the steering cables on their Packster model. The problem being that the steering cable snaps.
It's only a voluntary recall, but with serious consequences if it fails.
I'm bumping as I can't see this on the forum page.

The problem being that the steering damping is set too light, which if left un-fixed could cause the cables to loosen.

"cables snapping" made me wonder what on earth they were going to do with all their cable controlled bikes as I couldn't think of a workaround.

I found out about it on a German cargo bike forum.
The poster said something about "Kabel ist durch", which could me snapped or just broken. My bad.
