Been up Afan this AM and road fully open after roadworks
The closure was a good thing for me as I learnt it was much quicker to go to Glyncorrwg getting of a J36. I never park at Afan as the food is so poor campared to The Drop Off cafe.

Yup j36 is easier, seeing as you went this morning drnick how wet was it? With the recent rain and what's forcast for tomorrow Im trying to decide what to do, ATM a day on the sofa is winning.
personally never see the point of driving to GC, as all the trails can be accessed from the afan centre anyway. you can always ride to gc for food!
as for condtions- great biblically wet- but hey i'm no golfer and not scared of water. did some of wall/w2/skyline and offpisted amd all running fine
