Although I like Lezyne mini pumps I've always had issue of unscrewing the valve core - and therefore all the air I've just gurned in - when removing the hose.
Last week I did this twice after a puncture on a road ride and was on the verge of calling my wife to pick me up when I thought I'd try check if anything on my multitool would help. Well low and behold one of the nipple tighteners on the handle of the chain tool of my Lezyne multitool fits perfectly ๐
No more valve cores half done up with pliers, no need to but a valve core remover.
I had the exact same thing on a cold, snowy ride in the Cairngorms. I was about to throw my bike into the nearest stream until I tried nipple key on multi-tool!!
I swear I thought about PSA-ing this last week after it happened to me for the umpteenth time (this was after ripping a sidewall on my tubeless setup and then puncturing the replacement tube twice on the same ride). It was the Mavic nipple bit that did it for me.

It's a particular problem with Continental tubes IME - I've never had another brand do this. The trick is to nip up the core with some pliers before you use them for the first time - no problems after that.
P.s. Cheers-drive, would you mind heading over to the Cheesy riders forum?
I ended up putting loctite on all the valve cores on my spare tubes
This is the reason why I will never buy a lezyne mini pump again (don't find the screwing the hose onto valve an improvement anyway).

I find I can pump harder if I don't need to bend down all the way and I don't need to bother about holding it perfectly square to the valve to avoid snapping the core.
The push on speed fit adapter for their track pumps is perfect and should be adapted to work on the mini pump hoses.
