My medium country Italian Jersey arrived today, fits me just about perfect, however I needed to buy a large in my Castelli Motorola jacket to get the best fit, not got my Rapha hooded rain jacket yet but I ordered a M & L to try both.

I'd say they are pretty true to size for the average rider, I believe the race wear stuff is designed for skinny roadies

6ft and 14st here - so no skinny roadie but the Rapha sizing charts suggest I'd be a large. Just wondered if they are accurate.

It's something like that, yes.
Only mine'll be grey, xl and it'll have a slightly straighter back. Hopefully.

Just bought a grey XL merino hoodie ! This thread has cost me a small fortune 😆

I suspect it may be a bit large, as the L cross jersey fits perfectly....

Gotta love this thread...

For years you lot have bashed Rapha on so many levels, then all of a sudden a Sale comes along and you buy the stuff and find out its bloody good stuff.

Ohhh the ironing.

🙄

Judging by the amount of Rapha on display on the roads today I'll say that quite a few people have taken advantage of the sale.

Ohhh the ironing

Why does this phrase grate with me so much? When I imagine folk who use it, I imagine them having a 'you don't have to be mad to work here, but it helps' poster in the background.

For years you lot have bashed Rapha on so many levels, then all of a sudden a Sale comes along and you buy the stuff and find out its bloody good stuff.

Define you lot. Every stw forum user ever or the specific posters on this thread? As someone who has had bits of Rapha in my wardrobe since 2005 I hope I'm not rolled up into 'you lot'. There are surprisingly a diversity of opinions within the forum - it's actually not a 'hive mind' (my 2nd least favourite internet phrase).

Stuff arrived today. Never bought from rapha before - its all nicely wrapped isn't it. Country Jersey feels and looks superb as does the winter base layer and the hat fits under my helmet a treat.
Obviously its all far too nice to get muddy though.......

Not much point in posting this as it's showing as in stock but I have a Large Hooded Rain Jacket in orange/red to send back, in case it goes out of stock tonight it's yours for £123 posted.

Clothing will be posted tomorrow morning so get in touch beforehand if you want it.

The Merino hat is very nice so i'm keeping that, The winter base layer in medium fits perfectly so i'm keeping that, The Hooded Rain Jacket in medium is perfect and just oozes quality so i'm keeping that, and my long sleeve country jersey in red/large is also a keeper.

Country jersey is bloody lovely.

Medium fits me fine and I'm usually large in proper roadie stuff, in case anyone is considering that one above.

bit of an expensive item, but I returned a XL Grey Brevet Jersey today so may be back in stock in a couple of days... word of warning though, they come up fairly large.

I'd be interested in buying a Columbian country jersey in large or xl if anyone is thinking of returning.

May be able to help you out jools.

Got one on the way to try for size, but the medium fits good so I expect it'll be too big.

You won't fit the medium anyway!

Email me if you're interested in the large and I'll reply when it arrives.

I'd be very grateful if someone could return a set of womens classic winter tights in large or medium! Stupidly left it to buy them when I got home and in that time they had sold out!

T'is true, you've bashed Rapha for being poncy/hipster/expensive..blahdiblah.. 🙄

Anyway some of you are coming round to the realisation that the stuffs really rather good. Thats all that needs to be said..

I expect to see you all here, or in a thread similar, in a years time 😆

Don't be so patronizing. Clearly, no matter how good it is, its overpriced - hence the feeding frenzy when there is a sale. Plenty of people know its good quality but can't afford / won't buy it at full price.

you continue to shower yourself in glory in this thread, don't you? Or are you being all ironic and meta, portraying the sort of aloof attitude Rapha wearers are labelled with thanks to their marketing?

Their kit is top quality, their marketing pretentious and ripe for ridicule, and their rrp prices far more than I am prepared to pay for cycling kit. At sale prices (eg. 60 quid for a long sleeve Sportwool jersey) they are extremely good value, with prices similar to "mid range brands" but attention to detail and design that surpasses them.

I now own 3 Rapha long sleeves and 1 short sleeve jersey. I will enjoy wearing them and continue to find the JVA spoofs amusing.

IDGAF who thinks what about Rapha's clothes/marketing, I just wish they'd use some of their spectacular profits to fund a quicker delivery service!

Still waiting for the second half of my order from Friday.

(yes I know, first world problems)

Yeah but they've been swamped by all us hypocritical vultures, their stuff is normally hand delivered by maidens, within 24 hours.

Winston +1

Good quality, but overpriced.

Even if I was loaded, I'd still only buy when it's discounted
