When you've bought some cheap FiveTens following a PSA on here do not attempt the following-
Take your rain soaked shoes off the radiator and finding them a bit too moist still.. whack one in the microwave on the quick beverage setting.
The plastic heel cup insert may shrivel up like a prune ruining said shoe.
Shouldn't laugh... But who puts anything in the microwave to dry it!?!? Chin up dude, is the bit you have ruined attached to the shoe or the insole? I think we need pictures.
don't they have metal lace eyelets too?
But who puts anything in the microwave to dry it!?
I have it on good authority that is the preferred method for pensioners to dry their cats.
On the day Princess Diana died I was due to run in a Nike 10k run with a mate from work.
We were to meet at work but when I got there all I could smell was burning.
His running shorts hadn't dried from washing the previous night so he had put them in the microwave - and I got there in time to see him throwing glasses of water into the open microwave to put the flames out.
We had to go to his house to get some more running bottoms and we were late for the run 🙁
Food cooked in that microwave had a 'smoked' flavor for the next few weeks.
I did put some socks under the grill to dry them once.
melted sock is a bugger to get off the mesh bit of a grill pan.
It was about 5:30am, pre cuppa etc.
Not sure if the eyelets are metal-no sparking or fireworks acheived (i'll check the bin later!)
On the plus side this years shoes have some good upgrades...
According to a friend *ahem* shoes in tumble drier ends in tears also.

Microwave works best for socks. Take them out periodically to prevent overheating and to allow the moisture to evaporate more effectively.
People actually use the microwave to dry things? REALLY?
*strokes chin*
Sealskins are the answer to yesterdays shoes being wet still. You know, for future reference.
Microwave, seriously?
You are Heston Bloomingwhatsit and I claim my £5 😆
