[#11479406]

This is one of the very few nice and cheap 2nd hand steel hardtail frames I've spotted in Covid times:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nordest-Britango-tr-29er-Frame-Medium-Long-With-King-Headset/274568477483?

But a confession! I've been considering switching my Stooge for a hardtail so I took a bid on this, knowing that I may change my mind and just sell it on, as my Stooge is brilliant and really doesn't need to go. So if I were outbid it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...

I'm currently the highest bidder: that £252 is my highest bid and I don't plan on bidding again. If I don't get outbid, it may just end up in the Classifieds here in a couple of months for the same price.

Not sure what this thread is: kind of a stealth-ad, more of a stealth save-me-from-myself plea.

What Stooge are you selling?

I'd be a MK4, but realistically there's perhaps a 1 in 4 chance of me selling it and it wouldn't be until Xmas at the earliest...

Might be interested if you do sell...

OP’s internal conflict intensifies 😉*

Lovely looking frame that. I was tempted by one and ended up buying a Stooge Speedball from Clink. This thread is spooky!

Can I have my Speedball back? I did. Then I didn’t. Now I do, 🤣

Wait I think I nearly bought that Speedball too... Purple with a Thomson BMX stem right?

I added the Thompson stem and a set of Junker bars. Gave Clink first refusal when I sold it on 😂

We should really all just swap bikes much more often

(Except I'm always convinced I've finally found the one I'm going to keep forever)

Had a Mk1 for 3 years, sold, regretted it.
Had a Speedball for c6 months (I think) sold it, REALLY regretted it.
Had a Mk4 for 3 months, sold, regretted it.
Have Scrambler waiting to be built up.

You would think I might learn!!!! 🤣

I think ideally I’d have a Speedball for long endurance stuff, Scrambler for bikepacking and a Mk4 as a dedicated trail bike.

I’m a serial swapper too. Should’ve kept the Speedball, it was a really fun bike to ride.

It was buy it now for 300 before some numpty put a bid on it and prevented me getting it by the time I'd decided to go for it.

£292 - the numpty saved you £8 😎
