That auction site is a bit of a rabbit hole though, isn't it!

I was flicking though it yesterday when I saw the news that they'd be selling the M-L stock - yes, could easily spend hours on there!

I'm hoping for a cheap(ish) Tern but I suspect the auction will get huge interest.

Will admit to being ignorant of the bike brands listed there - any of interest for the discerning mtb'er (i.e. semi decent kit full sussers?)

Forme bikes might be OK, but the other names are at the 'value' end of the market

Saw the Cycling Industry News article yesterday and went to have a look.

Obviously the ML stuff isn't up yet, but I'm getting a new bathroom so of course I've just bought a shower enclosure.

Keep it in mind that any winning bids are plus VAT, commission  (25%?) and delivery. Adds up to quite the premium over your top bid.

Yeah, the FAQs say add 50% to the hammer price.

It looks like Tern have already moved on to their new distributor, these deals usually come with a stock transfer so I wouldn't hold out much hope for a bargain GSD.

My sympathies mtbfix. I worked for a company that went bust some years ago. Even though I got fixed up with another employer fairly quickly, it was still a worrying time. Best of luck with the job hunt.

Depends who owned the stock a the time? Even if ML hadn't paid Tern for them yet they'd still be auctioned off and Tern would just get their share as creditors of the overall liquidation?

More likely that cargo bikes are still selling as quick as they can make them, and it's the £300 bikes going to LBS's that they have thousands of.

I would expect Tern to have a "property of" clause in their terms of sale.

Emmelle in the late 80’s - More Sarcin than a Saracen. Didn’t realise the ‘eponymous’ Moore Large was still a thing 30 years later.

Commiserations to employees on here.

So some brands must be without a UK distributor now?
