Anyone know what they're like on an 30mm internal rim?

They’re great on 30mm internals.
My Roval carbons are shod with that same tyre. Sits well on the rim and holds up nicely when slammed into berms.

I’ve run them on 28mm and been great, the only time they are rubbish is wet yorkshire stone slabs uphill

Same shoulder grip as the DHF / DHR MINION so never had an issue in corners or berms

I've got one on an Ex511 at the moment, seems to be doing well given the limited centre tread looking a bit scary!

They're not that great tbh- not a patch on the very similar rockrazor imo. But, £26 is a pretty killer price.

I'm going to disagree.

I like them more as they've a flatter mid section whereas the RR is more rounded and I find them easier to hook up when cornering.

Great price.
Do you think they are better or worse than the Specialized Slaughter Grid?
Thanks

Minion ss is at its best on 25mm internal width rims in my experience. Rockrazor is better on 30mm

I’ve had the old version on 25mm rims. I presume this will be the newer version with more but smaller side knobs:

Slaughter Grid is great.
If you have the pressure EXACTLY right (too soft, it'll squirm a lot, too hard and it'll ping off every root and rock)

I'm glad mine was only £12, but I should've just flushed it down the pan instead

Spotted this a few days ago and was tempted but held off due to width issues as above.

However for £26 it’s worth a punt.
Have ordered one and a 2.5” Dhf 3c from Merlin to go with it.

Will be fitted to a hard tail on Ex511 rims and will report back on how it goes.
