waz, reckon?

Hill came of on that big blind drop, he looked to go way out of shape and the guy in crowd held he's head......Binned it there!

Peat fastest down on the day, so quit with the arguing before you even start.

what was happening on the lower part of the track, everyone seems to be loosing a second or two there. Shame there wasnt another camera further down.

Bizarre commentary...

Got our tickets for FW and really looking forwards to it.

Sam Hill (AUS - Monster Energy- Specialized) was up by 1.6 seconds less than 40 seconds into the course when he had a horrendous crash off of the face away drop and ended up 50m away from his landing zone in a snowbank. He walked away unscathed, somehow.

Hill was happy to be in one piece after his encounter with the snow. "I'm just happy to be alive after that crash. That was probably the wildest thing I have had happen to me on a bike. Somehow my head missed the stump, the rock next to it and I landed in the snowbank. I had snowflakes all over my goggles and couldn't see anything. It was wild"

Yeah, waiting to hear from him on face book, but for now have a look at where he crashed. How did he mis-judge that? Looked like he lost it before the drop-off.

How's the bike though?

Can't be anywhere near as bad as the guy that was commentating on Eurosport.

Oh that commentating on Eurosport was awful - kept getting everyones names mixed up, plus the constant repeating of sections set to music. Still it was nice to see mountain biking on the tele though.

That europort coverage was shockingly bad.

you can see the drop on Matti L's helmet cam and i don't think it looks that bad at all, esp for someone like Hill whose probably practiced it 10 times over the w/e

I would have nailed it anyway ๐Ÿ˜†

I think he was trying to do a Bubba Scrub off the drop, i.,e. get his wheels down as quickly as possible. Looks like he just over rotated and landed front wheel first.
