Nope, not just you. I've been riding specialized Butchers and Slaughters bought in their sales, rarely paid more than £25. Until I got myself a pair of plus wheels, now currently trying to find a decent pair of tyres for less than £100!

Can't get on with spesh tyres, ok at best. The hillbilly should be great but feels awful in Rocks imo, shorty is a great tyre although not completely trustworthy in rocks.
