[#5626825]

Just noticed the Halfords are doing pretty big discounts on some Hope wheels, add to basket and they drop to £218, add British cycling discount and Topcashback they are well under £200.
Sorry if this has already been pointed out.

the only issue I can see is not being able to specify 15/20mm axle (and the equivalent for the rear) instead of QR, or I'm I missing where you can?

whats the british cycling discount

10% off for members, membership is £15 tho.

I've had a few sets in the past and they have always come from the factory with 20mm.

@ legend .... I believe that the arch and crest (front wheels) come with 15mm and qr adapters the flows 20mm and qr.

Rears are always qr.

I think I have that right!

I wouldn't worry about that statement, it worked for me yesterday.
You have to do reserve and collect, print off the voucher they scan it in store.

Cool, Crest 29ers ordered for collection. Yes Crest usually come with the 15mm adapter and Flows the 20mm. You can get a kit to convert the rear to Maxel if needed.

Good shout. Only really wanted a flow front but seemed rude not to add a matching rear as well especially at that price.

Doesn't seem to be the Flow EX, just Flow.

99.9% sure they are EX, reserve and collect, if its not an EX walk away.

Looks like they're out of stock of the 29er Crest and Flows.
That was a great price though, I was just looking for a set yesterday and didn't see them much less than £300 a pair.

If your employer has halfords discount you can get an extra 10% on top of those prices too. The employee discounts work by buying vouchers for next day delivery from a website. You buy them at 10% off the face value. You can then turn up and use the BC discount at the till and pay with vouchers :D.

Mainly because the Flows and Crests were all gone but I got back from the pub at 1am, saw this and bought the 717 rims, front and rear for £165 - collecting Friday! I was looking for wheels anyway and I've got 719 rims on my other bike so for that price I'm well chuffed!

cheers for the heads up.
I was looking at Ho[o]p[e][s] earlier this week and wondering whether to buy a new rear wheel.
It arrived this morning for £140. Top job.
Couldn't be bothered going through the hassle of the BC discounts, but still a good price.

Now I just need to buy a new 6 bolt rotor.

eek

Ordered a pair on Tuesday, store collection today. Got an email confirming everything OK. Got a text remind me to collect today. Then got an email this morning saying no front wheel.

Turn up at Halfords tonight, no rear wheel.... Showing on their system as picked and packed... The girl in the shop calls customer service, bit of a discussion then she passes the phone to me... The CS women tells me they don't have any left, they've had stock issues etc...

So no bargain Hoops for me...

Please stop bringing this thread up. I am green with envy. I've still got to build my S/H parts wheels that cost only fractionally less than these.

Second hand Rear Hope pro 2 hub - already owned
Second hand Front Hope pro 2 Hub - £35
New DT Swiss Spokes - £50
Second hand Stans Arch EX - £65

Total £150 given I already owned the rear hub.
