I really liked mine, sold it when I was reducing my number of bikes, a few years ago.

Not the most compliant of steel frames, but the geometry was good for the time (2012) and the purpose.

They were not the longest of bikes and clearance was good - so double-check the size for suitability. You may find with a shorter stem it could work for you.

My Fortitude Race (the orange one) is still in regular use. IRA my low maintenance winter bike, and go-to bike for bikepacking.

I never should have sold my Race.

Ditto.

Been looking for a replacement for a while. A few crop up on eay but either wrong size, or the S/S of green touring version.

What size do you need, talking to a buyer for my 20.5" frame and fork.

If he ends up passing on it, would you be interested?

Hatter - are you selling a 20.5 Race frame and forks? I so give us a shout if your buyer falls through

It is actually a pre-production sample of the race in the Genesis Guild colours, one of just 2 in existence, I believe Si from 18 bikes owns the other one.

Antibob of this Parish is getting first refusal on it but if he says no I will get in touch on here.

Will come with a CK headset and 175mm XTR chainset with wolftooth N/W ring.

It has the novel feature of a BB shell that's been welded in backwards (both the samples were like this) but it doesn't matter if you're using Shinamo or Raceface cranks.

I do indeed have the other, just been looking at selling it too funnily enough.

It's the same Adventure as Hatter, but in 19" and a complete bike that I built up. This one has a standard BB shell, drive side on the drive side.

I'll sort photos and spec over the next few days, but email me info@18bikes.co.uk if you want me to keep you posted.

Thread resurrection ... I've just taken delivery of a frame & fork from someone on here, going to be a drop-bar SS Monstercross-commuter build (and possible future geared bike-packing build).

Two questions ...

Anyone know what headset I need? (Just something budget and reliable, not fancy)?

And possibly going to build it up with a carbon Nukeproof fork, but want to run full mudguards. Any solutions given the forks don't have mudguard mounts?

Cheers.

Any old 34mm headset.

I’ve got a 17.5” Race frame with a Jones Unicrown fork if anyone is looking for one?
