Just out of interest, how would this be good for me ?

I have a GPS that I use just as a speedometer currently - it's a cheap old bryton, works OK but slow sampling and the speedo consequently fluctuates a bit too much

I'm not paying £150 for a less juddery speedo though. How else might it change my life ? (I do strava on the phone in my pocket)

Scardy pants the 810 supports mapping, HRM and cadence, so it's a lot just for a speedo. If it's just a more reliable speedo you want then the garmin 25 or 500 might be a better bet?

I am getting one as a mapping GPs so it can display an OS map with my location and a GPX course

Pair the 810 with the phone you carry to upload direct from the device. Seems to work much quicker than savingfrom the phone and faster to get a fix.

Thanks OP.

Was looking to change my Edge 200 so this has come up at the right time.

Did the click and collect and store called me up to say the last one they had was the display model and they would give me a further discount.

Just need to sort maps now - will check out the OSM mentioned above.

Well I've just been and collected mine from Norwich for the princely sum of £148 after the application of multiple discounts and I had a lovely 150 mile ride out on the motahboik in the WARM.SUN. First (and probably last) ride this year due to 2 ruptured discs, now much betterer. Win and indeed win 😀

Apologies for the slight whiff of smugness... 😉
