Haven't seen this discounted by more than £20 before. Only downside is it's internal routing so might need to drill your frame

I was thinking it might be great for a gravel bike - until I saw the weight restriction 😂

The standard 27.2’s are a similar price.

There's a gravel specific dropper that's cheap too (different lever afaik)

Wow. That's an impressively niche product. How many kids are there who weight 20-40 kg, want a dropper post, and have a frame with internal routing?

Those who bought the Vitus 24 and 26" MTBs!

People on here with small to medium-sized children?

I know at least 3, plus 4 of mine (one has one already) in the next few years. Brilliant bits of kit for kids biking, why shouldn't they have the same toys we have?

I think the point is why have it with internal routing. The current virus 24+ doesn't appear to have routing for it. You'd think external (or a post with both) would have a far wider reach

“Those who bought the Vitus 24 and 26″ MTBs!”

And the Vitus 27.5 - but she’s got quite long legs so is fine with the 100mm dropper with the pressure as low as possible!

@chiefgrooveguru can I be really rude and ask how much she weighs? I was planning on similar but trying to work out of I can get away with it!

My 7yo is about 25kg and operates it no problem.  Cub-scout so had internal routing already.

I for one am very grateful for these posts! We’ve had one since my daughter had a Hellion 20”, then moved it onto the Kona Process 24 and now it’s on her Canyon Neuron. All the bikes have internal routing and it’s worked faultlessly, incredibly light action and mega easy for her to position the seat wherever she wants it. Amber is still not quite 40kg, so it should still be ok for a little while 🙂

I don’t think she’s much over 30kg despite being almost 5’ tall. Her younger brother is much shorter than her but not a lot lighter judged by the highly technical “Dad picking up children method”!

Great for smaller children, but their 'suggested age' of up to 12 is pushing the envelope in terms of max weight a bit. Quite a few 10-year-olds are over the 40kg mark.

Internal routing is just a relatively easy task with a drill and a file away

some of the 'adult' 27.2 droppers are down to £36 (use OUTLET10 on wiggle) now. I've taken a punt on one and if it doesn't work on my son's bike I'll stick it on my gravel bike.

Awesome, my 9yr old weighs about as much as an empty packet of fags despite being pretty tall and he can't make his brothers normal Brand-X one drop.

Shame about the diameter. Any idea what pressure they're running in the cartridge? I could do with a 30.9.

I've ordered an external 30.9 100 for my flyweight 10yo in the hope I can drop the pressure. For 50 quid it's worth a go.

Pressure may not be adjustable,  the brand X posts I have use a factory pressurised sealed cartridge.

Gone in for a kids 70mm dropper, the 110mm for £40 was tempting though.

I think you need to be 50 kg for the normal brand x dropper to work? On a similar note, the kids dropper seems to go beyond 40 kg as the upper limit… 🙂

Thanks to the PSA we've just fitted one to my daughter's Nucleus 26. Feared the worst and nearly went with the external dropper but went for this kids one and it was really easy to thread the outer through the nucleus.

I can't remember what it said on the base of the post but it was a higher weight limit than quoted on the website.
