@ wrecker +1 - now my faith is restored in the knowing they do actually spend their time productively.

I'm normally a somewhat left of centre type of guy, who believes in rehabilitation and not punishment, but I'm of the opinion that anyone caught nicking a bike should face a decade of breaking rocks in the bleakest outdoor surroundings possible, with Tess of the D'Urbervilles on loop being broadcast via a PA system.

Those caught organising such gangs and processing the stolen bikes would be subject to even harsher punishment, possibly involving solitary confinement and Des O'Connor CDs.

That said, at least the Police have actually done something this time. Well done to the officers involved.

<sucks through teeth>That's a bit harsh, isn't it? Even the Chinese might baulk at that one ๐Ÿ˜‰

i'm a lefty, i see no contradiction about being so, and holding the opinion that crimes deserve punishment.

Des O'connor?

you big softy, i'd make them listen to contemporary Jazz. or 'poetry please'...

have i gone too far?

Be nice if they took an interest in the steady stream of stolen bikes shifted at brick lane market , rather than just walking past

Gathering sufficient evidence for a successful and comprehensive prosecution is painstaking work. Well done Avon and Somerset Police.
