We spotted a notice today, saying that the section of bridleway across the dam of Widdop reservoir is going to be closed from next week, until October
There's a choice of two diversions
a) round the top of Widdop reservoir
b) across from Gorple reservoir
I'll have a Google to see if there are any maps on the Yorkshire Water website, or elsewhere

Hello Esme - rode from Heptonstall over Gorple today, on the way to Hardcastle Craggs. Didn't see any signs on that side.
We're supposed to be doing the MTL in September, in aid of Rossendale Mountain Rescue. Will keep an eye out for any further info on their site.
