@weeksy I'm a medium in the knees and small elbows in the arg minimalist if that helps!

thanks Danger... not really sure mate... he's a fussy bugger with pads too, we tried 3-4 sets on recently and didn't like any. He's got a set of POC he hates so invariably ends up in his 661 pressure suit instead.

Great PSA - 4 new sets of pads on the way to us, half the household already wear Bliss so it's new for old time.

Found a sizing chart here

Which says I'm a medium knee, unless I measure at thickest part of thigh then I'm a large?

How does the padding compare to D30?

Anyone already got the long sleeved jacket? I've just bought a Raceface Flank Core D30 which has spine and shoulder protection, but I don't have elbow pads and this looks very good for the price.

Thanks for that kimbers, been hovering over the buy button on a vest thing I absolutely don't needbut now I recall why I didn't get the bliss one last time. Medium chest&waist but xxl height so the coccyx protector will be under my shoulder blades!

@Bliss doesn’t need protection, he’s done his own research.

Nice one. Just ordered some minimalist knee pads in small (sizing chart, and a bikeradar review suggest they come up large, so a small should fit)

Hopefully more comfortable as a 'wear all the time option than my Dakine pads ...

Thanks for the PSA!
My knee pads are in need of replacing so I'll give these a try.

They look very similar to my 661 Kyle's Straights that I wore for years, so I'm feeling hopefull!

Tried to order 2 x minimalist elbow pads in M but only 1 in stock so...bugger.
Any one-armed off-road bikers out there in need of a single elbow pad?
Could order 1 through Freewheel and another - at full price - from different retailer...

Thanks for the heads up, great psa and need some replacement knee pads as mine are falling apart. Couldn’t find a chart for sizing so ordered two sizes, free returns though so all good.

Jacket ordered yesterday and delivered today. I paid for next day though as I need it for Scotland next week. Given the amount of discount I don't mind (too much) the extra tenner it cost.

Cue loads of people saying they opted for free delivery and it came today as well...

Yup - free delivery selected and it was here by 8.12am thanks to the earliest DPD delivery I've known for years 😀

Yeah mine arrived this morning with the cheap delivery. Not sure if I'll keep the knee pads, they're probably more heavy duty than I need. They feel a bit bulkier than my old enduras.

My order is apparently waiting at the shop for pickup, this is good because it's quick, this is not good as I can't get there until Saturday so it'll be getting in the way for a couple of days.
Having selected lbs delivery this is also likely to be a very expensive psa. It's the same reason I try and avoid bakeries.

Seeing as Freewheel is essentially a initiative by a distributor to give indie bike shops access to a decent B2C website and click and collect facilities... that's probably the point.

that’s probably the point.

A big part of it certainly, doesn't mean I can't see a certain irony in "saved £30 on x, spent £100 on y in the process of picking it up"

I had to select a shop as part of the order process even though it was being delivered to my home address. Not one of them was one I’d willingly spend money in.

I ordered a back protector vest which arrived yesterday, so got next day for free!
It's a good fit, seems good quality.

I ordered a couple of pairs of the knee pads.

They both seem pretty decent!

Thanks again for the PSA. The two pairs come to less than I've ever spent on a single pair.

I hope they work i a fall 🙂

Anyone else finding the full top a bit snug under the arms? It's a large and I would have swapped it for an XL but obviously there's nothing left anymore.

Bit strange; I did two separate orders. The second one has arrived at my lbs but I haven’t been able to pick it up but I’ve spoken to them and it’s there.
The first order (5 mins before the second) was dispatched from the warehouse according to an email but I’ve just had another email to say that my returned items have been refunded…they were never delivered never mind returned…of course that email came at 5 mins past 5pm so I can’t call them until Monday now ☹️
Bum.

Mine arrived, burly knew and elbow pads and padded shorts.
Knee pads do seem like Kyle Strait copies, which is good cos that’s what I’ve worn out.
Large knee pads are a bit tight above the knee, prob should have gone XL.

If anyone ordered medium 'ARG Minimalist' kneepads but would have preferred small, let me know and we can do a swap.
