I believe that bloke is in fact Claire Balding ๐Ÿ˜†

But yes, should be interesting, especially as she is starting out in Lymouth. Lots of big hills.

I thought I recognised that picture - it was taken in the Valley of the Rocks. Which is just outside Lynton (& Lynmouth) which is where I lived until May of this year.

I regularly rode from Lynton to Ilfracombe - that's where I worked for two years. I may have to watch this program ๐Ÿ˜†

I draw the line at Last of the Summer Wine, only watch that for the local scenery.

I think LOTSW did a world of good for road biking. What with the romanticised portrayal of a maverick roadie defying his harpy of a wife for adventures on the open road and the constant clandestine erotic assignations with a 'glamorous' (well, compared to Nora Batty) woman.

Wow, and I thought it was just because she had ginormous baps. Incidentally, I used to live next door to a couple who were made for one another, he was called Maurice and she Marina, I nearly wet myself when they came round to introduce themselves.

I was a bit disappointed with the progamme - lots about Britain, not much about biking. If there had been no bike would anyone have noticed?

Yeah, agree with your summary! Bit lightweight. Nicholas Crane is much more interesting.

When is the next one?
