On one have cut the price of their adaptable axle wheelset

http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/WPOOMAX/on_one_max_adaptable_maxle_wheelset_

And their qr wheelset as well, but not by as much

Who in their right mind would pay the £300 RRP on them?

Freewheel is pretty noisy I would say (on the xc set). Saves on a bell in any case. That's on a new whippet though, so maybe it quietens down once bedded in.

For £150, they've got to be worth a punt!

Whats the opinion on these? I'm lookiing to replace the Bonty Rythym Comps on my ASR-5 (they were the comprimise for an ex-demo price).

Seems they are approx 250g lighter on rotating weight - not a bad for £150. As I'm using the ASR as my "everything" bike but race it as well a 1650g wheelset seems a good balance.

[snob mode] Are they really fit to grace an ASR-5 though or shall I continue to save for some Stans Arch / Hope wheels? [/snob mode]

They look ok to me. Have to remove those awful On One stickers first though! 🙂

Not many reviews about.. Price seems amazing.
New wheels on Christmas list, had looked at these, decided on crest/pro 2s though.
Although can't get them until after Christmas *cough* probably.

I think I found the flaw - the 15mm doesn't fit the Fox system - its RS maxle lite only?

Grrrrr......

I dont see how those wheels can be the claimed 1677 grames with rims that heavy

480+480+255+305=1520 then according to this 64 spokes will be 286 give or take (not sure what ones they use) plus nipples etc, surely 1850-1900 before adding rim tape which is another who knows what 30g+?

I am half asleep so apologies if the above is wrong. I think with Flow rims the powdercoated ones are 50g heavier as well than normal ones so presume these will also have that issue

Hold on, I've got that wrong? As long as the hubs are 15mm and I have the fox QR (its the latter one screw in one similar to Maxle lite), it doesnt matter.

However, dlr's post has made me think again.....
