Sounds fair 50% off for something that only works 50% of the time.

What DT said.

I swapped the Tech M4's on one bike for new XT's.

Think i'll be swapping them on the rest of my bikes too.

Thanks to OP 🙂

What are the best Hope brakes for an am bike, riding in surrey hills, peaks, wales?

whats a floating rotor? worth paying a bit more for?

whats the difference between a post mount or int std?

Post mount is what all modern forks use and int standard is the old standard for fork mounts where you have to use washers to get the spacing correct, not a very good description sorry! Liking the love and good vibes everyone..

Stock does appear to be running low/out.

Just tried to order some but none left in the combos I want. When you start adding in rotor/adaptor cost then you can get them cheaper else where.

Think i'll stick with the XT m775's for now.

Hmm, I'm very tempted by the Middleburn cranks I have to say.

I wonder if I can assume when they say R7, they are actually referring to RS7's?

(... then everything I've just looked up online about RS7's won't have been wasted 😉 ).

I was lucky, ordered M4's with braided hoses and floating rotors late last night not long after ruscle posted. Email at 14.30 today saying they've been despatched.

Presumably this is because new models are on their way which will make these 'obsolete'.

Hope stuff won't ever be obsolete as their after sales service is 2nd to none and will have spares for old systems even now. I think its sour grapes!

That was a tounge-in-cheek comment - I've still got a set of original 1996 Hope Hydros (C2s) on the go on one bike...

I ordered some on Saturday morning, just got the email to say they're on their way - good shout by the OP.

Hope brakes don't get obsolete, they just get older. These will replace some 8 year old Hope minis which will be relegated to my winter hack bike. I don't consider the minis obsolete - I can still get all the spares for them and they still stop the bike.

Edit: just seen clubber's response - could have done with a smiley on that! 🙂
