[#1231902]

Bit of an experimental build, but i think it looks lovely...
(Sorry for rubbish pic, proper camera has broken)

[img] [/img]

Its a tad on the experimental side, because it has got Sram 10 x 2 double tap flat bar shifters, Red rear mech, and a dura ace cassette.
It should be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Anyway, what do you think???
Josh....

Nice work, will be interesting to see how it hold up.

My tip, can't beat a Brick Street kebab and a pint in the Brick & Tile 😆 (that's if they not closed down / flattened them both 😆 )

SeanOrange - You're pretty much there with 20 lbs, but its just over around 20.6..

Nicks - Its currently a 11-27 cassette, and just the normal 32 - 44 rings on the chainset, will probs end up changing that to around 28 - 39 ish. (When the weather picks up)

Olly,
Which gear cable?

And experimental probably isn't the best word, but its a road rear mech, cassette and shifters, so there obviously not designed for MTB use. Will just be interesting (To me anyway) to see how they work in conditions they are not specifically designed for.
Make sense?

fairs enough 🙂

rear gear loop, to the mech, is faaaar to long for my liking.

i reckon it could definatly be shorter without affecting shifting, and if you want it to be properly snug and tidy, you could get hold of a red rollamajig

Great bit of kit Sir! Although you really should've put it in the outter ring for the photo 😉 How do you find the wheels?

Not sure if you've heard of the weight-weenies forum? But it's got an MTB section, seems like most of the users are running road equipment OFF the road, may be worth a look.

picture slowness is 'cos it's a 400kb image - resize it down a bit and you'd be fine.

looking at the barriers - has that vending machine been ram raided in the past?

Bike looks fast 🙂

Surely even a racing snake might stuggle on some courses with only a 27-32 as the lowest gear?

I ran Campagnolo Centaur ultra torque cranks offroad for a few years until the bike got knicked, and they stood up to offroading better than offroad cranks, and were designed to be rebuilt and re greased unlike MTB stuff.

Like it. Just not sure about the rims. I'd desticker them so they're pure white, the decals make em look cheap IMO.
