Bit of an experimental build, but i think it looks lovely...
(Sorry for rubbish pic, proper camera has broken)
Its a tad on the experimental side, because it has got Sram 10 x 2 double tap flat bar shifters, Red rear mech, and a dura ace cassette.
It should be interesting to see how long it lasts.
Anyway, what do you think???
Josh....
how slow is your pic hosting site?
Looks like a racing thoroughbred. Nicely done
😕 T's awriight....why?
looks pretty good to me mate.
FWIW pic took long time to load
£200 rear mech?
Nice garage mate!
Is that Samways in Derby!?
That is beautiful!
Racey, I like 🙂 I was also going to ask if it was Samways!
Wrong sized wheels! 🙄
I think it looks ace!
pretty xc porno. whats not to like.
Indeed it is Samways in Derby...
And yeah, sorry about the slowness of the picture, i will use something else to host it next time i think...
Thanks for the comments anyway 😀
Looks like a beast to me! s-works hardtails always look awesome
Best bolt it down before it floats off! I'll have a £1 on Guess the Weight......... 20lbs?
Nice work, will be interesting to see how it hold up.
My tip, can't beat a Brick Street kebab and a pint in the Brick & Tile 😆 (that's if they not closed down / flattened them both 😆 )
is that a league of friends cafe in a hospital it's leaning on?
looks ace though
very nice , what gear ratios your running ?
lovely build! should be perfect for summer raceing. very nice
SeanOrange - You're pretty much there with 20 lbs, but its just over around 20.6..
Nicks - Its currently a 11-27 cassette, and just the normal 32 - 44 rings on the chainset, will probs end up changing that to around 28 - 39 ish. (When the weather picks up)
you need to sort that gear cable out.
experimental by having a red mech?
or a dura ace casette?
eh?
Looks a bit fast just standin' still that does! 😆
Olly,
Which gear cable?
And experimental probably isn't the best word, but its a road rear mech, cassette and shifters, so there obviously not designed for MTB use. Will just be interesting (To me anyway) to see how they work in conditions they are not specifically designed for.
Make sense?
That is very nice , I like it a lot.
Amazing looking bike mate, should go fast on that...
Great bit of kit Sir! Although you really should've put it in the outter ring for the photo 😉 How do you find the wheels?
Not sure if you've heard of the weight-weenies forum? But it's got an MTB section, seems like most of the users are running road equipment OFF the road, may be worth a look.
Lush, sort out those cables though
BUT its not pink ? and those wheels are so last year darling !
ps did you lose the bet (under20 lbs get £10 over 20 lbs lose £10 ???????????????????
Bream what u on pal !
Beer and kebabs lordy, perfect pre-race meal 😉 😆
picture slowness is 'cos it's a 400kb image - resize it down a bit and you'd be fine.
looking at the barriers - has that vending machine been ram raided in the past?
Bike looks fast 🙂
Surely even a racing snake might stuggle on some courses with only a 27-32 as the lowest gear?
I ran Campagnolo Centaur ultra torque cranks offroad for a few years until the bike got knicked, and they stood up to offroading better than offroad cranks, and were designed to be rebuilt and re greased unlike MTB stuff.
Like it. Just not sure about the rims. I'd desticker them so they're pure white, the decals make em look cheap IMO.
