I'm 6' and looking to get a Prophet frame to replace my 18" Blue Pig. Should I go large or medium. Will be running a 50mm stem with 760mm bars.
Cheers!
I'd suggest large, I know ppl like smaller frames but the medium felt so wrong to me (6'2").
BTW as the prophet is old skool, you'll need to run 710 bars or less ๐
really? I'm loving my wide bars. Not sure why they'd be a problem
that comment might have been a bit tongue in cheek ๐ณ
Great fun frames, put it in the FR suspension setting and leave it there, the 1.5 headtube means you can fit anything (tapered/std/1.5) up front (cheap 1.5 steerer forks are worth searching out).
Only major drawback is the 27.2 seatpost size for dropper posts
Gravity Dropper and a Prophet are a perfect match, both are simple and reliable.
At 6' I think you'd need a large, I'm 5'9" on a medium.
Great. Thanks. I was looking at a medium, but I'll skip it and hold out for a biggun.
Agreed, you definately want a large. My mate has a medium with a 50mm stem and at 6ft i find it tiny. It must be well over an inch shorter than my old medium 06 Enduro.
I'm 5'10" and I've just gone back to a 70mm stem on my medium.
Im 5'11 on a large frame, 70mm stem and 730mm bars and that's about spot on for me ๐
Im 5'10 on a 2009 medium frame, 50mm stem, 760mm bars, gravity dropper, 160mm forks. Its great. Large sound good for you.
6'2 and was on a large frame with 100mm stem and 700mm bars.
worked a treat.
miss it.
Never sell a prophet frame, keep it and one day you will want to rebuild it with the latest kit ๐miss it.
