Are there any here?
How did you find the ordering process?
I'm looking at the Ekano.
Thanks
I ordered a DH bike from then a couple of years ago. Their website advertised the bike with Code RSC brakes. The bike came with Code R brakes so I dropped them an email to query the brakes. They replied quickly and said it was a fault with their website but they honoured the advert and sent me a shiny set of RSC's in the post about 3 days later. I was impressed with their service from start to finish and the bike itself was awesome.
Well that sounds encouraging, I've never seen one in the flesh or met anyone who owns one.
Seems there aren’t many either with the lack of responses on here!
Can't help you, but am also interested in the answer, as I'm considering either a yt decoy, propain ekano, or commencal meta power for my next bike.
Currently have a yt capra, and very happy with it.
I have owned a Rage Cf since 2017
Bought frame only, was quoted on website as delivery 25 days. Arrived after 35 days
Overall very pleased and it’s still going strong
Delivery can take longer than quoted as the frames are made in Asia
I cannot comment on full bike shipment and my experience was 2 years ago now
I also own a Rage CF 2017 model.
I'm really pleased with it. Its the best dh bike I'v rode. Quality wise I cant fault it. High quality finish paint wise but the decals are stickers and not painted on under a clear coat. A minor grumble.
Considering the rrp of their frames and complete bikes compared to santa cruz etc I think they are great value.
Propain do still seem less common in the uk right now but I think that will change over the next couple years. I'm a wee bit surprised they arent better known.
I actually emailed them recently as I wanted to buy the new tyee enduro frameset but the website says 'under construction' when you try to view the framesets.
I emailed asking what the price would be and when it would be available. The email I received back wasnt as helpful as I was expecting. Simply said they didnt currently know when it would be available and just told me to keep checking the website. That was over a month ago. I didn't wait since I was offered a nomad 4 at a good price. If they could have even gave me a rough estimate I'd probably have held off..
On another occasion I emailed about the spring rates they quote for the Rage cf frame being higher than what the online spring calculators where giving me. The email I received again wasnt very helpful at all and didnt shed light on which would be the best option for me.
So apart from poor email back and forth from them I'm still happy with the bike and would defo consider another one. I suspect the rage carbon dh frame is going to be updated for 2021 or 2022 to come into line with the new aesthetic of the latest tyee. When that happens I'm pretty sure it will be my new dh bike.
Mate of mine bought a Spindrift frame. Looks like a great bike, very well made and bearings have some extra sealing. It took a bit less than a month to arrive I think.
Can’t help but the new Tyee is an awesome looking bike...!
Doesn’t our esteemed leader @chips have one?
I have a Hugene, ordered just over a year ago. The customisation is something I really rate, though it is easy to spend more than you planned. After purchase it took ~15 days before the bike shipped (you get updated through mail).
As mentioned before, their email response is not very good, it tends to be slow and short. Calling them works much better. The one warranty issue I had so far (regarding a RS Pike) was resolved smoothly (after calling).
The bike itself is great, I love it! No issues with the frame and/or bearings so far. Can't commend on the paint as I have the raw version.
My mate just got one for his wife's Birthday (2 months ago).. it took him best part of a year of asking pretty normal questions and getting useless responses like "see the webssite" (basic questions like seattube length that were not he said on their website). He reckons it's the hardest thing he ever bought and tried to talk his wife out of it several times just because of their customer service pre-sales despite their son having one and them being very happy with it.
According to him it takes "weeks" to get a useless response to a different question to the one you asked... then you ask again and they reply with a different but similarly useless response.
