Has anyone ridden a propain ekano ( https://www.propain-bikes.com/en/bikes/e-bike/ekano-165/)?

idly wondering what ebike to buy when I get a new job after this cv19 thing is over and keep coming back to the propain, it looks decent value, and the geometry looks like what I'm after, but there's hardly any 'professional' reviews out there.

Propain are generally pretty decent bikes, but buying an ebike from a direct sales outfit can be a tricky proposition, given how motors can tend to fail.

That said, there's lots on offer for 5k there - what's the deal with a local shimano dealer fixing Shimano motor?

I presumed that because its just a standard shimano motor and battery (unlike YT decoy which has a special YT battery)any shimano dealer will deal with warranty issues. But it does look decent vfm, if it rides as well as the geo figures suggest it should.

I couldnt find any info on the suspension leverage curve etc, so couldnt work out whether it would suit a coil shock or air shock better.

Local dealer did my motor warranty (after selling nearby dealer adopted barge pole technology - so I see no problem about mail order)

Did charge 100 for taking motor out/replacing motor tho but I suspect you’ll save more than that
