[#7138405]

I placed an order online last night for some tyres and a few other bits and bobs from probikeshop.fr, it's the first time I've used them.

They sent me an email this morning asking for a photo copy of some ID (such as a passport) and proof of address (such as a recent utilities bill) to help protect against fraud.

The 'does this sound dodgy compass' is pointing to 'sounds dodgy as ****'.

Is this normal?

Unusual for an EU site, but I've done that in the past for US sites

Not had that with them. Only ordered once - a couple of tyres.

Something to do with delivery address not matching card/invoice address?

Had some forks from them a couple or three years ago. No problems at all. No ID request and quick delivery. Used them after a recommend on here.

Not common, but not dodgy either.
