Are pad cartridges interchangeable between brands?
Bike has Tektro R539 calipers. The cartridges and pads need replacing.
Would Shimano cartridges (105 for example) fit?

I use Shimano and tektro holders interchangeably.
Fitting kool stop pads to my tektros was transformative...

Cheers for that, yes there are Kool stop salmons in the calipers now, but I think the retaining bolts are seized in.
