Matching your shoes and socks to your bike paints job has got to be worth a few watts. No only did MvDP win but he did it looking good 😉

Breathe Right strips.

Look odd, but they do seem to work.

so what’s the nose bands all about?

They damp down unwanted skull vibrations to improve mental focus.

A new version of the isospeed, maybe with a longer split top tube?

The old one is ~5 years old now.

This is what's been leaked of it. Apparently it'll be the Supercaliber.

A very retro shock position, and a retro Fisher name as well.

Looks like it's got a bottom pivot then relies on the flex of the stays? Does look nice though.

Interesting! Cheers.

Not sure if I like it or if I think it's overly complicated for a 'more or less' softail.

How much rear travel on that, 25mm? Looks mint! Now if only I was 35yrs younger ...

Makes sense. The Top Fuel isn't really racy enough now. The Procaliber is really a hardtail, that looks like it may actually have a reasonable amount of travel. Iso Strut by the looks of it. I reckon there's a BB pivot.

Did find it funny yesterday when Rob Warner and Bart Brentjens questioned Kate Courtneys decision to race a hardtail as Jolanda Neff was on her FS for Pauline Ferrand Prevot to win on her hardtail. Good sprint to the finish though.

Definitely seems to be a BB pivot. 65mm would be great for xc bridleway mile-munching (most of my riding) as well as racing. Trying to see if there is a lockout (not convinced you'ld need one)... can't quite make it out in the pics

There's a cable in the second photo so I'd assume there's a remote lockout.

I'll dread to think how much one will cost.

Looks expensive 🙁

Homemade droppers are teh shizzle!

Not homemade, 240g and 1049 euros!

https://bikerumor.com/2018/05/23/jbg2-dps-claims-to-be-worlds-lightest-dropper-post-at-240g/

One of our suppliers does carbon tubes, made on a mandrell but which can be ground down to whatever dimensions you want. Wonder how easy that would be to DIY, or at least replace the inner and outer tube on a gravity dropper.

The Salsa Spearfish is pretty much the standard for long distance, mile munching, bikepacking style races and that has an 80mm rear shock (might be a bit more on the latest version) so 65mm ain't bad. There's a lot more room in the main triangle as well, my Spearfish can only fit a tiny frame bag in there.

I’m surprised at the limited info bearing in mind he first google of “Trek Supercalibre” gets you various shop hits with a various specs, prices and build kits - albeit out of stock.

Was interesting to hear Rob Warner congratulating the Scott team mechanics for a rapid rear wheel change on Ninos burped tyre, 27 seconds he timed it at. Ninos reply was that it was actually quite slow because Yannick can actually do it in 18 seconds!
