Not ridden the Dales before. Any helpful STWers got a decent route from the Dales Bike Centre that I could use to get a taster of the terrain (obviously won't be able to ride the actual race trails, but just after a flavour).
Call in the Dales Bike Centre and speak to Stu, mainly depends on which way the wind is blowing up there but Apedale and Gunnerside Gill is a cracking route.
Bump for Sunday crowd.
Climb Fremington edge then go along the top or down to Hurst- followed by "buckled wheel quarry"- a great taste of Swaledale's terrain. As said above ask Stu at Dales bikes for advice on a route as the winds can be brutal if your riding into them!
