Signs went up today warning of the bupa Manchester run on the 18th May.
We didnt get anything in the post. ^ so what do you guys want extra?
I like the idea of parking in lancashire and riding over on a bridleway
Does anyone have any good route ideas ?
Loads of the route is near some cracking bridleways, in particular the Pennine one on day two. I'll be walking to Blackley (15min walk?) with PeterPoddy and family and watching it there on day 2, not sure about day one yet.
I'd like to know if it will be possible to cycle on some of the closed roads early, to get closer to a chosen spot? This seemed to happen for the olympic road race..
Also - will it be so busy (even on foot or bike) that you need to bag a spot the night before??
faustus: the roads will be open to cyclists until about half an hour before the advertising caravan comes through.

probably can't be arsed. Will go to Wales, do an XC race, come home, watch highlights on telly.

and found this campsite, which is just outside of Bradfield and on the route:
£25 for one night (what I'm having)
£40 for two nights camping
£60 for three nights camping
Those prices are per pitch and not per head as well. For £25, me and the misses will be getting drunk in Bradfield the night before and sleeping next to the route. Going to walk to the climb out of Bradfield on the Sunday and get drunk again!

There is a 'park n ride' in Arncliffe, my mates field (£10 a vehicle)?and is 4 miles via road from the wharfedale road.
There is also a field opening in Litton too, (@dalesbredsheep on twitter) which is at the base of the bridlepath over to Buckden (ace down!) and 6 miles from the wharfedale road (its about 50yrds from the queens arms pub, in Litton)
Litton is accessible from the darnbrook road from the tarn, or via Halton gill, via the stainforth road. I'm a local, happy to offer more advice if needed.
