stantion/crown, steerer/crown interface I suspect. You can normally make them creak/click by holding the front wheel between your knees & trying to rotate the bars. Difficult to do much with it - may be warrenty, my 32 vanillas do it, I can stop it for about 6 months at a time by putting the bike upside down, applying thin chain lube to the stantion/crown interface, applying heat with a hot air gun to the crown & vigerously pushing/pulling the lower legs with the wheel removed, reapplying lube & heat until the creaking stops.

Short term...oil soaked into crown/stanchion junction?

marzochhi fork? I had this with a set of dirt jumpers on the tandem - windwave assured me it was OK but I could feel movement in the stanchion / crown joint so had the top assembly replaced

I'm getting similar with my SIDs - should I be concerned as opposed to just annoyed?

Hmmm. Think I'll take 'em off the bike & see if I can get 'em to do the same then - at least I'll get a better look.

New one on me - for a rear creak under load/high torque are knackered jockey wheels - My top pully's ceramic bushing was not there - totally disintegrated! Off tangent sorry!

just to get this cross threaded, any creaking i get is blamed on the gobi saddle...
