Having had my frame powdercoated the finish looks like it will be very susceptible to chipping and marking. Is it worth spraying over the whole thing with a can of lacquer to try and minimise this, or should i just get over it and accept that it will get trashed over time?

Powdercoat is about the toughest stuff out there.....if it's done right! Don't worry about it.

If it is chiping easily them it has not been baked in the oven for long enough.

mine scratches rather than chipping, some BMX'er was ever so appologetic after grinding his pedals down the top tube, its a scratch, but didn't go through to the metal.

How can you tell just by looking?
