I've stripped down my old Kona and fancy getting it powder coated. Any particular tips for getting the best results? Also, what colour to go for?

you're really not going to want to read this... powder coaters generally bead blast your frame before paint as it creates a key for the powder to take to and it's included in the cost.

oh.. and before you make any more bad decisions, how about getting it done a colour YOU want?

find a place that will strip, prep, 2 pack and coat...

remember to block off headset and bb threads etc, if they are good they will have the tape.

if you have stripped well, they will solvent dip to clean, then the 2 pack is the key for the powdercoat.

shithouses claim blasting gives the key.

>creates a key for the powder

It doesn't *have* to blast 7 shades out of the surface, depends on the media chosen/finish required/material being treated.
