Ok, rode through a pothole that had formed around a drain cover and slammed the front wheel of the road bike into the edge of a drain cover, i now have a damaged rim and a juddery front brake.
If i speak to the council, do i have any chance of getting something from them, the road in question is like most roads in Cheltenham, abysmal!!!
As for avoiding the pot hole in the first place, that is sometimes easier said than done.
Take pictures with a can of pop for size or similar near the hole, and then contact the local council.
Also get estimates for repair or replacement from lbs.
