Who's best to use these days to post a some forks, would like insurance up to £150 and preferably signature/proof of delivery at the other end.
RM is coming up with £22.70 which seems excessive. Forks and packaging add up to 3.5kg BTW.

Parcelforce 48 should be around £12, although extra insurance (over £50) does bump the price up.

parcelmonkey.co.uk - basic 24hr delivery is about £6 (collected from your home/work place and delivered next day with City Link), insurance is extra.
I've prob sent 3/4 forks, and 2or3 frames and wheelsets with them and never had a problem.
I used to use parcel force48 hr - but this is much better as you get 24hr delivery for half the price of 48hr.
