What is the courier of choice for the singletrack hordes? How much? and whats the deal with taking it apart(turn bars and remove wheels and pedals?) and packing?

Thanks

Pack it exactly the same as new bikes get delivered to a shop, maybe a bit extra padding, get the box from your LBS.. they will show you a bike in a box if your nice to them.

+1 for interpacel

Usually take bars, wheels and pedals off, wrap bubble wrap round some bits and parcel tape it all up then put into the box and pad out with newspaper.

Unfashionable and, yes, they're often twonks, but I've always had really good experience and even pricing from Parcel Farce - which I havent always from other carriers.

Parcel2go the best one-stop place to look though. Though they *will* bombard you with a zillion promo emails once you're on their mailing list. And you *might* get yourself removed from it only to have them start sending you them again 2 weeks later... this pattern might be repeated if you're unlucky/easily annoyed/me.
