Never found anyone who says in the T&Cs that they will carry any lithium battery on its own

It must be possible because you can buy new batteries from manufacturers and suppliers, but not as a normal buyer/seller

That said when I bought a used Bosch 500 PowerTube it was just post undeclared. It arrived without any drama and the world didn’t explode into a fire ball

JPS Couriers will move a packaged battery without any dramas (usual courier rules apply and drama may not be excluded from this offer).

Pretty much all of them wont accept a battery of that size unless connected to the bike

Only reason shops are able to post them out is because they have contracts with the delivery firms and they make sure they are packaged correctly and have the correct warning labels and the batteries are brand new etc...

Most delivery companies dont trust joe public to package and label up the battery correctly plus there is a bigger risk of shiping used battries as they could have internal damage to them so are more at risk of shorting etc.. if knocked in transit

This is what i was told when trying to ship a used 500wh battery and a 250wh extender

You can try and send one without declaring that its a battery but if found it would be disposed of or worse if it caused a fire in a depot or delivery van they proberbly would take you to court

I bought a Levo SL extender battery of a guy on here who shipped it from Germany. Arrived without any problems.
I can see if I can find who it was shipped with if its any use to you

I will get the packaging out of the garage tomorrow and see who it was sent by.
Any chance some one up at Tweedlove this weekend could bring it down for you. Must be some up there from your neck of the woods

Chances are that it will be a fully regulated class 9 Lithium ION battery. As it's on it's own ( not contained in or packed with equipment, it will be really unatractive to most carriers. I've had to jump through considerable hoops through inspection/audit and recognised staff training to enable our company to be able to despatch Lithium battery products.
Best bet would probably be to contact some small carrier firms to see if any of them will carry fully regulated dangerous goods. Or, is it possible that the firm you work at has the capability through their carriers?
