I need to post a wheel for some warranty work but could use some courier advice.

Looking at Royal Mail's Price checker it only goes up to "Medium Parcel" which isn't going to be big enough (61cm x 46cm x 46cm).

Does anyone know what the next level of service would be or is there another reliable courier I should use?

ipostparcels are pretty good, used them a few times now. IIRC wheel sized items go by ParcelFarce.

myhermes are great. There's a 25% off code floating around the 'net for first time users too.

re the Post Office you'll be looking at their Parcelforce service as anything over the size of a small thimble isn't in their "improved for the customer" parcel sizings, so immediately looking at £13+ before any insurance etc.

I used parcel monkey who sent it by city link. Depends how much the wheel is worth but for £200 insurance value I was £12 for next day delivery.

I couldnt get a pair of wheels in a box MyHermes would carry, one wheel may sneak in the limit.

In the end I used Parcelforce £13 insured.

Played "safe" and went with Parcel Force in the end, about £13 for 48hr delivery including £200 insurance.

Thanks for the pointers and suggestions 🙂
