Forks are heavy but sooo smooth!

Van Halen - Hated them at first, loads of clunking and topping out.
Added more oil to damping chamber and they were transformed into very nice forks.
Still nowhere near as smooth as my Fox 36 - but the Motion Control seems to cope better than on smaller (air) RS forks.
Brilliant for the money (I paid £180 or 190 s/h), not even as heavy as you might think.
Been having the debate for a while that you don't need a set of 40's, 888's or Boxers on a DH machine...plus I finally got myself a new frame..:-) I've been a big fan of 36 Vans, but needed something more for the 951... but have been really impressed with the Totem coils...got mine for less than half RRP...and were faultless at Fort William on Sunday. I was looking for some old 66's..but they're a bugger to find.
