Shortly getting a bike with post mount caliper on the rear,what size rotor will it work with if I don't use a mount and bolt it straight to the frame 160?

Depends on the frame tbh. But you'd expect 160mm or 140mm really.

I would be amazed if it's anything other than 160

Depends on caliper aswell, Hope Mono M4 on my Trek Stache is 180mm.
